01 · Scope
What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to the Terenval Wallet browser extension, the terenval.com website, and support communications sent to Terenval. Third-party dApps, blockchains, RPC endpoints, and external services have their own privacy practices.
02 · Data handled
Information involved when you use Terenval
Wallet vault data
Account secrets, including private keys and recovery material, are intended to remain in encrypted local browser storage. Terenval does not require you to create a server account to hold those secrets.
Public blockchain and network data
To display balances, activity, token information, fees, and transaction status, the extension may send public wallet addresses, transaction identifiers, selected networks, and signed transactions to blockchain nodes and infrastructure providers. Public blockchain data is inherently public and may be permanently recorded.
dApp connection data
The extension may handle the requesting website origin, selected account, network, connection status, and approved permissions. Some of this information is stored locally so connections can function as expected.
Product analytics and diagnostics
If you choose to enable anonymous analytics, the extension uses Amplitude to process limited product-usage events. These may include application version, browser and operating system, session age, selected network, feature interactions, technical errors, and certain custom-network configuration fields. Terenval configures analytics not to collect IP addresses and does not intentionally send wallet passwords, private keys, or recovery phrases.
You can decline analytics during setup and disable them later in the extension settings without losing wallet functionality.
Website and support data
Website hosting may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp for security and delivery. If you contact support, Terenval receives the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send.
03 · How data is used
Limited to operating, protecting, and improving the product
- Provide wallet, network, dApp, and transaction functionality.
- Display public blockchain information requested by the user.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures.
- Understand aggregate feature use and improve product usability.
- Respond to support and security reports.
- Meet applicable legal obligations.
Terenval does not sell personal information and does not use wallet data for interest-based advertising.
04 · Third parties
Services outside the local extension
Depending on the selected network and feature, information may be processed by:
- Blockchain networks, RPC nodes, explorers, and indexing services.
- Token, pricing, swap, or transaction infrastructure selected by a feature.
- dApps and websites you choose to connect to.
- Amplitude, only when you have enabled anonymous product analytics.
- Website hosting and email providers used to deliver terenval.com and support.
Terenval sends only the information reasonably needed for the requested function. Third-party services process data under their own terms and policies.
05 · Storage and retention
Different data has different lifecycles
Local extension data remains in the browser profile until you remove it, reset the wallet, clear browser data, or uninstall the extension, subject to browser behavior. Blockchain records may be permanent. Support messages and limited technical records are retained only as reasonably necessary for support, security, compliance, and dispute handling.
06 · Your choices
Control available to you
- Choose which supported dApps and accounts to connect.
- Reject connection, signature, and transaction requests.
- Disconnect dApps and clear local connection records.
- Decline or disable anonymous product analytics.
- Remove the extension and its local data through your browser.
- Contact Terenval about a privacy request or question.
Some public blockchain data cannot be edited or deleted by Terenval. Rights also vary by jurisdiction.
07 · Security and age
Reasonable safeguards, without impossible guarantees
Terenval uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect the product and support data. No software or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Terenval is not directed to children under 18.
08 · Changes
Keeping the policy aligned with the product
This policy may be updated when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will be revised when material changes are published.
